The Weekly Weather Report

December 1st to 8th, 2018 summary by Peter Finlayson
The first week of December didn’t bring us particularly severe weather. The average temperature was -4.0° C and although the normal average is -4.5° C, because temperatures usually get colder later in the month, we are actually somewhat below average.
For precipitation, despite the grey skies, we received only 13.5 mm of rain and 3 cm of snow, for a total of 18.5 mm of precipitation which is average for the first quarter of the month.
Let’s hope that next week’s weather allows our Valley farmers to finish taking off their crops; we’ve seen several tractors in the fields very late at night this past week.
