Faith First Courses
Just to let everyone know that Faith First will be starting up again. Our FF mass will be on September 21st @ 9:30 a.m., with our first course starting on September 24th. Courses are 1 hour from 7-8 p.m. They are once a month from September till May.
As some of you know Catholic instruction is no longer taught in the schools, so 10 years ago (yes it has been that long) we started teaching Faith First at the Catholic church in Huntingdon. This is a program from the states. This year we will be doing things a little differently, we will focus on a theme each month and levels 1-6 will be taught the different theme's, sometimes as a group and sometimes separately depending on the themes. This year we will also try to bring in some community members to help out. We always encourage the parents to take part if they wish, or stay during the courses and participate. If you know of anyone that would be interested in joining, please pass this on, or bring them with you on the 24th. We will see you then!
PATHFINDERS AT C.V.R.
Girl Guides of Canada is well alive in the valley. Pathfinders from our different towns and villages in our surrounding regions meet twice a month at CVR after school. They are working in partnership with the CLC concept of building bridges between communities and their schools/centres.
This is an occasion for the girls to connect with other Pathfinders and share in the sisterhood of Guiding. Their program is varied and the main purpose is to develop leadership in the girls, develop their talents and make the world a better place to live. We welcome girls between 12 and 15 to join us at CVR for our bi-monthly meeting. For more information, contract Louise Triggs 450- 247-2430.

Come and see what curling is all about! Visit the club and receive free on ice instruction with our club members. The only equipment required is warm, loose fitting clothes (gloves suggested) and a pair of CLEAN SOLED RUNNING SHOES (not worn outside prior)....no debris on the shoes as this will ruin the ice surface. We have sliders and brooms at your disposal. Learn basic rules, techniques and dos and don'ts and get into a friendly game. Afterwords, enjoy refreshments in our club house and chat about the game. Bring your friends and come find out why they call it ''the roaring game''
