Ciné-Cinema presents two short films from Quebec
February 17 @ 2:00 PM
On February 17, Ciné-Cinema presents two short films from Quebec, nominated for Oscars.
The films, Marguerite by Marianne Farley, and Fauve by Jérémy Comte are finalists in the short fiction film category for the 91st edition of the Oscar Gala to be held on February 24.
Starring Béatrice Picard and Sandrine Bisson, Marguerite tells the story of an elderly lady who, through her contact with Rachel, he openly homosexual care nurse, returns to her past and makes peace with herself.
In a completely different vein, Fauve is a rural drama in which two boys, played by Félix Grenier and Alexandre Perreault, are horsing around and challenging each other in a quarry pit, with nature as the only witness. Suddenly, and without warning, their lives are turned upside-down.
The films will be presented in their original French version on Sunday, February 17 at 2 p.m. at The Little Green Library in Huntingdon.
Admission is free; however, donations are always welcome.
