The Haut-Saint-Laurent Communi-T Nights invites you to Saint-Anicet to kick off the holidays. Huntingdon, November 26, 2015 – With December and the Christmas holidays approaching quickly the organizers of Haut-Saint- Laurent Communi-T Nights are preparing for their next event. The theme of the Ste-Anicet event is Christmas, with special activities planned to get everyone in the holiday cheer, there may even be a special guest, Ho! Ho! Ho! On Wednesday, December 9, 2015, all citizens of the Haut-Saint-Laurent are invited between 16h30 and 19h to the Saint-Anicet Community Centre. There will be lots of fun activities for the whole family, a free spaghetti dinner, free drop in daycare service for 0-7 yr. olds and a chance for parents and adults to socialize. Unity is strength “The holiday season always brings lots of smiles and excitement in the community, but for some families it can also be a stressful time and maybe even need some extra support. The community organizations are here to support those in need,” said Rémi Pelletier, coordinator of the Community Development Corporation of the Haut-Saint-Laurent. This December’s event is special because it is specifically for the municipalities of Saint-Barbe and Dundee, but will be located in the municipality of Sanit-Anicet in order to accompany as many citizens as possible from all our communities in the Haut-Saint-Laurent. Bilingual, free and open to the public, the Communi-T event offers an opportunity to make links between the French and English communities, stimulate community development and cultivate a sense of belonging in the Haut-Saint-Laurent. Over the course of the evening, visitors will learn about a variety of organizations providing services close to home, meet other citizens of the region, attend presentations and interactive activities which is all free of charge, thanks to our valued employees and dedicated volunteers! The partners behind the organization of the event include the New Frontiers School Board (NFSB) Community Learning Centres (CLC), the Commission Scolaire de la Vallée-des-Tisserands (CSVT), Municipality of Saint-Anicet, Community Development Corporation of the Haut-Saint-Laurent(CDC), the Regional County Municipality (MRC) of the Haut-Saint-Laurent, Local Development Centre (CLD) of Haut-Saint-Laurent, Health and Social Services Centre (CISSSMO) Monteregie-Ouest territory of the Haut St-Laurent, The 0-5 Network, Jeunesse Rurale En Forme (JREF), Vison Bénévolat, Maison des jeunes of Huntingdon, Moisson Sud-Ouest, Bouffe Additionnelle, le Cercle des fermières of Saint-Anicet, Saint-Anicet Optimiste Club, Leahy’s Orchard, Poirier Butcher, Milk producers of the Montérégie -Ouest Centre communautaire.
