Chateauguay Valley Weather Report
The last full week of December was pretty much the same as the rest of the month – a bit of warm, a bit of cold, a bit of snow and a lot of slop. The average temperature for the week dipped to -5.0 C, down from the previous week of -4.4 C while the normal for the month is -4.5 C. The slop came from 14 mm of rain mixed with just 1 cm of snow for a month-to-date total of 75 mm of precipitation, which is right on the norm. Friday’s high was +9.0 C, so all the snow melted and then washed away by the freezing drizzle and rain that followed on Saturday. So, technically it was a white Christmas but barely so, and it will be a green New Year’s – or sloppy brown more likely – in any case, drive safely and have a great 2019!
