Wet and a little warmer were the weather watchwords for last week. The average temperature continued to rise, reaching 4.2 Celsius by the end of the week. That is still short of the average temperature for the month, 6.5 Celsius, so unless we get some very warm weather between now and the end of the month, April will be cooler than normal. There was lots of rain with 57 mm falling mostly at the end of the week. Combined with 36 mm of rain and melted snow that had fallen in the first two weeks of the month, at 93 mm we are now wetter than normal (usually around 75-80 mm of precipitation). Hopefully, April showers will bring some really nice May flowers . . .
