Carole Gravel to exhibit at The Little Green Library

Vernissage - Carole Gravel

The Little Green Library is pleased to announce a new exhibition by Carole Gravel. Everyone is invited to the opening which will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m. The artist will be on hand and refreshments will be served.

Carole, who recently moved to Hinchinbrooke, began to use the library’s services and discovered that local artists exhibited their work there.

She has been interested in all types of arts and crafts since she was a teenager, beginning with, painting by numbers and mosaics. Later, as a young adult, she explored Japanese embroidery, petit point, macramé and three dimensions.

In 1990, she discovered genealogy and the stories of pioneer families. She is currently writing books about her family’s history. Since 2013, she has been a member of the Société de Généalogie de Châteauguay, responsible for recruiting lecturers as well as acting as a volunteer to seek out new members.

The same year, with a friend, she discovered false stained glass and acrylic paint and has been painting ever since.

The exhibition presents a few of her works which, she hopes will please our visitors.

The Little Green Library is located at 4 Lorne in Huntingdon.
